What is one thing which may scare filmmakers post production of a film? You may be thinking about CBFC. Well, that is right as before the release date of a movie the filmmakers are required to screen their film to central board of film certification. They get relief after CBFC gives them the A or U certificate.

But once they are done with CBFC another tension occupies them and that is piracy. Although piracy is common in film industry but it may petrify filmmakers as their earnings may be affected if a film is available on the internet.  And if you thought that piracy affects only Bollywood or Hollywood film industry then you are wrong. Even Kollywood has a very big fan following.

The recent victim of piracy is none other than the most talked movie Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. The film which shattered box office records by collecting Rs.1000 crores from theatres worldwide is now available on websites which publish pirated links of Tamil films on their release day or a few days after they hit the theatres. Vishal, who is the president of the Council of Tamil Film Producers, has been fighting against piracy for years. He even lodged a complaint with the Commissioner of Police, Chennai, after the much awaited flick was available on websites.

After he made a complaint, the police personnel immediately took an action and arrested 16 people from various areas of Chennai where pirated DVDs are sold. They have also seized 2,100 pirated DVDs of the film. Vishal even registered a complaint against a notorious website tamilrockers.com which releases the movie as soon as the date and time of the film is announced.
