Vivegam Sets All Time Box Office Record In Chennai

Ajith's recently released flick, ‘Vivegam’, is doing extremely well at the box office, despite opening to mixed reviews. Since its release on Thursday in Chennai, ‘Vivegam’ has earned Rs. 2.7 crore in the city. Worldwide, the movie has been released in more than 3000 screen and is expected to earn more than Rs. 35 crore.

Recent reports also stated that because of the actor’s popularity, some theatres, especially single screens, allegedly sold their tickets at inflated prices. It was being said that some tickets were sold for as high as Rs. 800. This has been happening in the case of films that have big actors.

‘Vivegam’ also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Vivek Oberoi and Akshara Haasan. The background score and soundtrack has been provided by Anirudh Ravichander. Recently, the film’s editor, Ruben, spoke about the hate around the project and said that despite of all the negativity, he thanks the entire team of the film for their mutual love and respect towards each other.
