‘What not many know is that it is easier to be a hero than a comedian’ - Santhanam

N. Santhanam has been entertaining us with his comic timing for over a decade now. He believes that his journey from being a television actor to a successful comedian and now a hero has been quite adventurous and exciting. In a recent interview with The Times of India, he talked about his next flick ‘Inimey Ippadithaan’ and much more.

“What not many know is that it is easier to be a hero than a comedian. If I am playing a comedian, I need to focus only on that, come up with perfectly timed punchlines, and concepts to make it more comical. But when I am hero, I have many options to showcase my performance - romance, action, comedy, I can explore these facets. Moreover, I have been a comedian for more than 10 years and I feel it's time to experiment with something new now”, said the Vijay Awards winner, while talking about his preference.

Santhanam’s next ‘Inimey Ippadithaan’ is all set to hit the theatres. While talking about the movie, the actor-comedian said, “The film is a complete entertainer, and that's how all my films will be. It's about a happy-go-lucky guy who runs his dad's business without any worries about the future. The story follows his love life, self-realisation and stuff like that. People will enjoy the film, and at the same time, it has a message”.
