Will ‘Kabali’ Provide The Much Needed Change In Rajinikanth’s Career?

Rajinikanth has always been seen as a stylish young hero, punching the villains in the air, and the films highlighted his larger-than-life persona. His last outing ‘Lingaa’ failed to perform at the box office. But his fans did not blame the actor for it, as he was seen in his usual sparkling image.

Many believe that it’s time for the Enthiran actor to drop his great aura that has been portrayed by many directors in his past movies.  Maybe it’s time for him to move away from his over the top image that served him success for many years. His fans believe that he should start doing realistic roles in the latter half of his career.

Maybe the superstar has decided to listen to his fans. In the first look poster of his upcoming flick ‘Kabali’, the Sivaji actor is seen as an aging don. In a recent interview, the director of the film Pa. Ranjith said that the movie has no punch dialogues and the character of the actor matches with his real life age. Reportedly, the actor has shed extra kilos and will be seen without makeup in the major portions of the film.

Model-actor Sakshi Agarwal spoke about the actor’s upcoming film. She said, “It reminded me instantly of The Godfather! The film looks contemporary and stylish, while also being firmly grounded”. It will be interesting to see whether his fans accept the actor in his deglamorised avatar or not.
