Charming and dashing actor Nivin Pauly has teamed up with ace filmmaker Gautham Menon for the Kollywood remake of Kannada neo-noir crime-drama ‘Ulidavaru Kandanthe’. The yet-to-be titled movie will star the Premam actor in the role of a bully, who showcases his power whenever he gets an opportunity. Recently, the director talked about collaborating with the heartthrob of the Malayalam film industry.

Gautham was quoted as saying, “Working with Nivin has been nothing short of a dream. The entire unit was in love with him. Throughout the shoot, he was so accommodating, involving and extremely friendly”. The director also touched upon an incident while filming with Nivin, stating, “When we were shooting in Thoothukudi, Nivin was mobbed by hundreds of fans. We had to seek police protection to continue shooting. I understand if a similar incident happened in Chennai, but I was shocked to see he had such a fan following in a small town”.

Refuting rumours of the movie being titled ‘Avargal’, Gautham said, “We did consider the title Avargal, but since it's already out we might not use it. We are planning to come up with something new and easily relatable". The Tamil remake starring Natarajan Subramaniam, Shraddha Srinath and Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli is close to getting wrapped up. The next schedule of the movie will begin in Kolkata shortly.
