Y. Gee Mahendra Jumps Into Controversy Over Swathi Murder

As the nation is stunned by the killing of young techie Swathi recently, a controversial statement from veteran star Y. Gee Mahendra is not received well by many. The post of star said that the case has not achieved much progress because she comes from a particular community. He even questioned few people to respond to this tragic incident, which took place in broad daylight.  

"Swathi's tragic death.... Is it not as gruesome as Honour killing. Is PMK Vaithyar Ramdas or Vaithyar Anbumani reacting to this at all...Oh.. why shd they....this is A Brahmin Girl after All !!", it read.

The star later clarified his statement after it spread like a wildfire. He stated that his point was similar cases do not get enough attention. For this case, after protest picked up some development has been done in the case. He said that he didn’t create that post as he doesn’t even have Tamil font, but agreed with one point.
