Yennai Arindhaal postponed till January 29
Ajith-starrer Yennai Arindhaal which was earlier scheduled for a Pongal release may be
pushed till the last week of this month. The film is all set to hit the screens on January 29, along with its
Telugu version. According to the latest reports, the film’s post-production is consuming more time than
expected, which has postponed its release.
A source close to the production unit says, "The makers decided that January end will be apt for the
release. Some more work is still pending and they don't want to rush the post-production work. Hence,
the release has been pushed to a later date."
Meanwhile, the film has released its much-awaited trailer and the audio. The trailer emerged as a new
year treat for Ajith’s fans and showcased Ajith in a completely different avatar. Ajith plays the character
of a man named Sathyadev, while lead actress Trisha's character name is Hemanika. The film directed by
Gautham Menon also features Arun Vijay, Anushka Shetty and Vivek in other pivotal roles.
