Yennai Arindhaal Sequel Script Half Way Done

Released in February this year, Yennai Arindhaal will be getting a sequel which has been confirmed by the director Gautham Menon. He recently stated that the script for the sequel is fifty percent completed. The director also revealed that he will approach Ajith for the film after he finishes with the script.

Yennai Arindhaal was a drama thriller that focused on a cop named Sathyadev, played by Ajith Kumar. The movie received mixed reviews from the critics and the audience. Yennai Arindhaal is touted as one of the most stylishly made cop films. Gautham also added that he would prefer making films like Yennai Arindhaal with Ajith instead of movies like Vedalam.

Gautham has also written and directed Kaakha Kaakha, which was a cop flick as well. The action movie starred Suriya in the lead role. In 2006, the director cast Kamal Haasan in the cop role for the crime detective thriller Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu.
