Yogi Babu Bags Vijay 61

According to recent reports doing the rounds, comedy actor Yogi Babu has been roped in to star alongside Vijay. They had earlier worked together in M. Raja’s superhero film ‘Velayudham’. And now, the two have reunited for filmmaker Atlee’s upcoming film.

“Yes, I have been signed on to provide comic relief in the film and I have a lot of combination scenes with Vijay sir”, Yogi stated, adding, “I played a brief role in Velayudham and I am really excited to perform alongside Vijay sir in this prestigious project”. On a related note, Vijay 61 will star Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal, SJ Suryah, Nithya Menen, Vadivelu and Sathyaraj essaying pivotal roles.

The film has wrapped up its Europe schedule and the shoot was resumed a couple of days back in Chennai. The first look of the Sri Thenandal Films production is scheduled to be out on June 22, Vijay’s birthday. Yogi Babu has earlier acted in ‘Aandavan Kattalai’, ‘Remo’, ‘Saravanan Irukka Bayamaen’, ‘Kattappava Kanom’ and several other films.
