Yuvan Ready With Period Drama Based On Jallikattu

Director J. Julian Prakash is excited about his debut project, starring Yuvan. The flick will be a period drama, in the backdrop of famous and controversial Jallikattu festival. However, the filmmaker clarified that the movie wouldn’t touch upon the controversial aspect.

"It is a period film set in Madurai. It is based on Jallikattu and how much importance the sport was given back then. The film won't spark any debate as I have shown the sport during an era when this was considered to be the only Tamilian identity”, Prakash said.

He added that lead actors Yuvan and Anu went in for a major makeover for this 18th century drama. Prakash was impressed by the efforts made by relatively new actors and said that they gave all in the flick. The other key characters will be played by Akhil or Kalloori fame, Kishore and S. Ravi Mariya.
