Yuvan Shankar Raja To Score Music For Dhanush’s Maari 2

It is a known fact that Dhanush will next be seen in the film Maari 2, which is a sequel to 2015 film Maari.  Directed by Balaji Mohan, the film will star actress Sai Pallavi opposite Dhanush. Ever since Balaji announced the film, audience were on pins and needles to know about the movie’s music composer.

The first part had Anirudh Ravichander composing the music for the film. However, ever since Anirudh and Dhanush parted ways, there were doubts whether Anirudh would be roped in for the movie or not. But, now it has come to light that not Anirudh but Yuvan Shankar Raja will be scoring music for the sequel.

Both Dhanush and Yuvan will be collaborating after a long hiatus of 10 years for the film. Dhanush started off his career in Tamil with Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music in Thulluvadho Ilamai. Maari 2 which will be produced by Wunderbar Films will see Dhanush reprising his role of dhoti-clad, moustache twirling local rowdy from the first part. The flick will mark Tamil debut of Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas who will be essaying the role of a baddie.
