'2.0' Makers Squashes Rumours Of Taking A Legal Action Against VFX Studio

The news that Rajinikanth 's highly awaited movie, 2.0, is being postponed is a stale one. The film, which was earlier scheduled to release early next year, will release in April. The film has been postponed for the reasons best known to them. However, if reports are to be believed, the film has been delayed because the VFX studio failed to complete its work within the promised date.

Reports surfaced that the makers are now all geared up to take a legal action against the VFX studio. However, the '2.0' team denied it. They said that VFX is not the only factor that is responsible for the delay. A source close to the team was quoted as saying, “You have to understand that 2.0 is Asia's most prominent project and we have to make sure we deliver a world-class film. The VFX studio is working round the clock to meet the deadline, thus there's no question of taking any legal action”.

The flick, which is a sequel to Rajinikanth’s Robot, has already earned a prodigious Rs 110 crore from its satellite rights. Its Hindi theatrical rights have been sold for a colossal amount of Rs 80 crore. Bollywood star Akshay Kumar plays the antagonist and Amy Jackson as the female lead in the flick.
