A.R. Rahman performs on Jai Ho’s Tamil version

A Tamil version of Academy Award winner multilingual composer A. R. Rahman’s famousJai Hosong fromSlumdog Millionairehas been written by Madhan Karky and the noted musician has performed on it at a concert titledThaai Manne Vanakkam(Salute to the Motherland) here. The lyricist confirmed the news on Twitter, saying "The Tamil version ofJaiHo, performed in the recentThaiManneVanakkamconcert was penned by me. Heartfelt thanks to @arrahman Tamil version ofJai Hois on dreaming big, spreading love & hope for a better tomorrow. I will publish the lyrics tonight." The concert, organized by Jaya TV at the YMCA Grounds at Nandanam, was thronged by fans. Rahman also thanked fans on Twitter -- "Thank you Chennai for the incredible love and support at the show last night!"
