    Ace producer V.B. Rajendra Prasad who has delivered numerous Tollywood blockbusters breathed his last in a private hospital on Monday. Prasad was reportedly undergoing treatment for age-related illnesses at Isha Hospital in Hyderabad. He was 82.

    In his long career which lasted for 50 years, V.B. Rajendra Prasad had made over 30 films. In fact, his directorial debut, Dasara Bullodu is touted to be the first golden jubilee Telugu film, running over 50 weeks. Other notable films created by him are Bangaru Babu, Bangaru Bommalu, Bharyabharthala Bandham, Manchi Manushulu and Pichchimaraju. The legendary producer had won a National Award for Antastulu in 1965. He was also a recipient of the prestigious Raghupathi Venkaiah Naidu Life Time Achievement award in 2003.


    Prasad is survived by his wife and three sons. "He lived like a king. He did not hurt anyone. He passed away peacefully with happy memories," his son, famous actor Jagapathi Babu says.
