Now the news has been confirmed and the next film of the actor will be the remake of the Ayan Mukerji directorial.

According to reports, the story of the film impressed Akhil and he has decided to reprise the role of Kabir 'Bunny' Thapar, originally played by Ranbir Kapoor. Dharma Productions, who bankrolled the original film, are not willing to sell the rights of the film. As a result, Nagarjuna made the decision of collaborating with Dharma Productions.

Reports suggest that Annapurna Studios along with Dharma Productions will soon make an announcement regarding the film. Also, a team of writers has been appointed to work on the script and make changes to suit the Telugu audience. Soon a director for the film will be roped in and if everything happens according to the plans then the flick will go on floors in April end or early May.
