‘Akhil’ To Hit Screens On Diwali?

The debut movie of Akhil Akkineni titled ‘Akhil: The Power of Jua’ was supposed to release on October 22. Due to VFX related issues the release date of the film was postponed. Few days back it was reported that the producer of the film Nithin and Akhil’s father Nagarjuna, are planning to release the film next year during Pongal. They missed the festive season in October and were planning to release the film only in the next festival. But now it looks like people won’t have to wait long for the film.

According to the reports, the post-production work of the film is almost complete.  The team is now planning to release the V.V. Vinayak directorial during Diwali. However, no official announcement has been made regarding the release date.

The makers are playing a safe game by not releasing the film next year around Pongal. As three big films, ‘Nannaku Prematho’, ‘Brahmotsavam’ and ‘Dictator’ would release around the same period. The film also marks the debut of Sayesha Saigal.
