‘Akhil’ To Hit Screens Next Year?

The debut film of Akhil titled ‘Akhil: The Power of Jua’ was slated for an October 22 release. However, the release of the film was postponed due to VFX related issues. Speculations were rife that the film would be released around Diwali, but now, it looks like people will have to wait for a long time to watch Nagarjuna’s son on the big screen.

According to the reports, producer Nithin along with Nagarjuna is planning to release the V. V. Vinayak directorial next year. They missed the festive season this October and now plan to release the flick only in the next festive season that is Pongal. Though, no official announcement has been made regarding the release date.

If the reports turn out to be true, then the film will be locking horns with ‘Nannaku Prematho’, ‘Brahmotsavam’ and ‘Dictator’, which are also planned for a Pongal 2016 release. Another set of rumours suggest that the film may hit the screens in December, as the month has been lucky for Nagarjuna. The director and the makers would be looking to play a safe bet and not release the film with three other big films next year.
