For the first time in Tollywood, three generations of the same family will come together on screen. Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya will be working mutually for a film entitled Manam. ANR made a statement on this, "Finding a script for such a film is very difficult. Kal Aaj Aur Kal did not live up to the expectations back then. Director Vikram Kumar has come up with a very entertaining plot for our project though."

ANR would not be seen shaking legs as he thinks that it’s not his dancing age. He also adds, "I remember getting a lot of brickbats. It was deemed to be a sacrilege. People reckoned dancing was for the ladies." Nagarjuna then comments about his son that Naga is very nervous, as he has to match up his father and grandfather. Chaitanya nodded on Nagarjuna’s statement saying, "Facing nana and thatha before the camera is going to be a whole different proposition. They are such stalwarts, so I am going to have my task cut out. I am quite excited and nervous at the same time."

Nagarjuna speaks that they were waiting for the right script, "Ever since Naga Chaitanya began acting, the idea of doing a movie together has been lurking in my mind, we were waiting for the right script." Describing the movie, the actor says, "There will be many light-hearted situations between us." Manam is a comedy drama directed and written by Vikram Kumar. Shriya Saran and Samantha will play the lead actresses in the film. Anoop Rubens will score music for the film.
