Balak Palak Remake Shelved?

Marathi filmmaker Ravi Jadhav made a comedy-drama film in 2013 based on sex education. Bankrolled by Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh , Balak Palak deals with the topic of sex education of adolescents. The film also referred to low-quality pornographic videos that were available on videotape in the 1980s in South Asia.

After the film gained positive reviews, Tollywood filmmakers were in talks of a Telugu remake of the film. However, it’s been more than two years and nothing has been confirmed yet about the remake of the movie. Actress Tejaswi Madivada confirmed that she has been taken on board for the project but nothing after that has been announced about the movie.

As per a source who was selected to play a key role in the project, “I don’t really know what’s happening because I haven’t heard from any of the filmmakers. It’s a bit confusing at the moment. I am assuming that the film is happening because I am quite excited about my part”. Gossip mills are churning out rumours that the film might prove to be a crunch point in the Tollywood cinema.
