Bigg Boss Telugu: Sampoornesh Babu walks out of the house, later apologises

Bigg Boss Telugu, which went on air from July 16, has been creating all the right noises it is expected to. The latest celeb to make news is popular actor Sampoornesh Babu.

After contestant Jyoti’s eviction last week and popular actor Mumaith Khan’s temporary exit from Lonavala-based Bigg Boss house owing to the drug racket case that has rocked the Telugu film industry since last month, it was Sampoornesh Babu’s moment under the arclights.

According to a website Gulte.com, the actor couldn’t adjust to the confined space of the Bigg Boss Telugu house as he came from “a village backdrop”.

Appearing on Sunday’s episode of the show, the actor sought apology of the audience and gave an explanation as to why he had to quit. He said that he felt extremely claustrophobic and suffocated inside the house and that he had to come outside at any cost.

He was grateful to the show’s host, Jr NTR. “The real hero is someone who helps you when you are struggling and needs a shoulder for support. NTR did that for me, he is the real hero I have seen and he is the real Bigg Boss for me,” the actor was quoted by Gulte as saying.

Quoting an unnamed source, another web site HansIndia.com reported that he will have to pay some amount to the channel (Rs 20 lakh). The exact reason for his exit was not clear, it added.

Another channel, Chitramala, said that Sampoornesh’s exit was clearly a case of self-eviction but it is unclear if it was “pre-scripted or genuine”. It went on to say that “as per the reports any contestant who violates the rules and exits from the show before the 70 days has to bear the loss of Rs 16 lakh as per the agreement”.

However, the actor clarified that organisers imposing a penalty of upto Rs 20 lakh was just a rumour. He tweeted about it and asked for forgiveness from the audience.
