    The Chennai floods and incessant rainfall have brought life to a stand still for several commoners and celebrities. Among the celebrities is music composer SS Thaman who has suffered heavy loss because of the floods. Thaman’s studio was badly affected by the excess water logging and caused him approximately Rs. 3.5 crore worth of damage.

    The music composer was supposed perform the re-recording of the Balakrishna starrer Dictator. Now, because of the damage, Thaman has asked for an extension of a month to complete his part. According to a source, “Thaman is upset with the way his studio was affected by floods. He informed Sriwass that he is helpless and couldn't meet the deadlines for Dictator”.

    “He suggested Mani Sharma's name for the re-recording of the film. The makers are exploring options and if they still want Thaman to wrap up the work, they have to push the film's release to February”, the source added. He is currently in a tight spot but, from his efficiency in re-recording Bruce Lee, it is hoped that the composer might find a way around this dilemma.
