    Chiranjeevi Takes Holy Dip in River Godavari

    Actor-producer Chiranjeevi took a holy din in River Godawari to celebrate the ongoing Maha Pushkaralu. The Punadhirallu actor was accompanied by his producer father-in-law Allu Aravind and nephew Allu Sirish. Godavari Maha Pushkaram is a festival which is being celebrated from 14 July 2015 to July 26, for a period of twelve days.

    A source told IANS, "It was a peaceful visit to the Pushkaralu. A small ritual was performed after Chiranjeevi and his family members took a dip". Chiranjeevi is known for his break dance skills and has starred in 149 movies. He will soon start to work on his 150th movie, which is being directed by filmmaker Puri Jagannadh.

    Godavari Maha Pushkaram festival takes place every 144 years, corresponding to the 12th recurrence of the 12-year Godavari Pushkaram cycle. It begins from in the month of June or July. The initial days of this festival are called Aadhi Pushkaram. The next Maha Pushkaram will be observed in the year 2159.
