    Comedian-Actor Kallu Chidambaram Passes Away

    Telugu comedian-actor Kallu Chidambaram has passed away in a private hospital on October 19. Chidambaram was reportedly undergoing treatment for breathing ailments in Visakhapatnam. The 70-year-old comedian was on ventilator from past two months.

    Originally named Kolluru Chidambaram, the comedian began his career as a stage artist. He made is acting debut in 1988 with film titled ‘Kallu’, and thereafter he changed his screen name to Kallu Chidambaram. He has acted in about 300 films and some of his popular works include in films such as Chanti, Govinda Govinda, Ammoru and Pelli Pandiri.

    The actor-comedian was staying in Visakhapatnam, unlike his contemporaries from the industry who stay in Hyderabad. This is one of the reasons why the industry was unaware of his deteriorating health condition.  The last rites of Chidambaram will be performed later on Monday.
