Concept Of Celebs Adopting Villages Very Insulting: RGV

Director, producer Ram Gopal Varma is seen most of the times getting involved in topic that is under the limelight. He has this old habit of getting into the subject that is gaining popularity or the attention of people. Like every other citizen of this country, RGV too has the right to express himself. But, no other person exploits on this right as much as he does. Ram Gopal Varma was recently seen speaking against the concept of village adoption.

This is what the director has to say, “I find this whole thing of celebs adopting villages very insulting to villages. No self respecting village will allow itself to be adopted. Imagine how insulting we will feel if a Hollywood star would want to adopt India reminding us that we are an under developed country. Do People who adopt think villages are orphans or beggars or handicapped or what? If villages have any self respect they should protest. Any village who is willing to be adopted is actually admitting that it’s depending on left over morsels thrown at it by the rich and famous. They say villages are the strength of the country and then they insult them by telling the whole world the villages live on their mercy”.

He even added that this is a conspiracy of the government. The government is promoting this so that its own work gets easy. According to RGV, the villages should be self-dependent and should try to become cities.
