Darsakudu Is Not Based On Sukumar’s Life

Sukumar is one of the prominent directors of Tollywood and is present in the industry since 2004. His last outing as a director was a thriller film Nannaku Prematho which released last year January. He is currently occupied with Ram Charan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Rangasthalam.

However, the filmmaker is also trying his hands again in production with Darsakudu. This is the second flick that he is producing. He earlier produced Kumari 21F. Helmed by Sukumar’s lecturer friend Hari Prasad, the flick is a love story. Talking about the flick, Sukumar said, “Hari has been associated with me since my first film, Arya and came up with this story two years ago. I thought it was a new subject and asked him to direct it”.

Rumours suggested that the flick is based on the filmmaker’s love story. However, he refuted the claims and said, “No, it isn’t my love story. Though ours is a love marriage, I didn’t marry a film person, whereas in this film, it is the opposite”. This clears the air upon rumours suggesting that the flick showcases Sukumar’s love story.
