Deepika Padukone Opposite Mahesh Babu?

The Bollywood sensation, Deepika Padukone, is all set to woo Hollywood audience with her forthcoming American action film ‘XXX: Return of Xander Cage’ that also stars Vin Diesel. As per the latest hearsay, this 30-year-old actress may be seen sharing the screen space with Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu. Reports reveal that Sundar C. has approached Deepika for a mega-budget film starring Mahesh Babu in the lead role.

Grapevine has it that the makers have offered the female lead role to Deepika Padukone. The touted film will mark her comeback in the south cinema industry. The upcoming movie, which is likely to be a historical epic film on Sangamithra, is centred on a woman and demands a top performer. Interestingly, Deepika’s first flick was ‘Aishwarya’, which is a Kannada movie that released in 2006. She was also featured in a Tamil flick ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ starring Rajinikanth.

The forthcoming touted project will be a trilingual, simultaneously to be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Moreover, it is discovered that Jayam Ravi and Arya are playing major roles in this yet-to-be titled flick bankrolled by Sri Thenandal Films. The pre-production work is going on for the past eight months.
