The AMR Ramesh's film is all ready for release but Muthulakshmi moved to court alleging that the film glorified Dr Rajkumar as a hero. A source close to the film said, “After Muthulakshmi watched the film at a special screening organized by the makers, she objected to it, stating that the film glorified Dr Rajkumar as a hero. But, what was shown in the film was just what happened during the time that the matinee idol was abducted". The Censor Board has cleared the film and issued tax-free certificates for it and the team is also trying its best for a Diwali release once the court gives its go ahead. Director Ramesh said, "We are awaiting the judgment from the court. Whatever the court orders, we will comply with it. We want to release the film as soon as possible."
