Everyone who watched Winner said they loved it: Gopichand Malineni

Mega nephew Sai Dharam Tej’s latest released movie, Winner, is faring well at the box-office. However the film is not well accepted by the film critics. After 10 days of it being released, the makers have now opened up on its reception and said that it is the audience which makes a movie hit and not the critics.

Director Gopichand Malineni said, "I've been getting a great response from the audience. Everyone who has watched it said they loved it! However, the feedback from the critics is that film is too formulaic". He further added, "Evaraina cinema chudatanki enduku ostharu? To be entertained for those two hours and get their money's worth of enjoyment. And I think Winner does just that. This is what the audience expect from me - a film that is worth their time and money".

The film is still doing well in AP and Telangana. The film featured Sai Dharam Tej with Rakul Preet as the female lead. Helmed by Gopichand Malineni, the film is being bankrolled by Nallamalupu Bujji, Tagore Madhu on Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions & Leo Productions banner.
