‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ Shoot Resumed

The newly-wed director, Krish, is finally back on the sets of Telugu historical film ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’. It is the 100th film of Nandamuri Balakrishna, the lead actor of the touted flick. Today, on August 29, Krish recommenced the filming of this prestigious project.

The shoot is currently taking place in Madhya Pradesh. ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ has Shriya Saran as the female lead. It is for the second time that Shriya will share the screen space with Nandamuri Balakrishna. Despite having a historical connection, Krish believes that the movie will surely touch the emotional chord in the sentimental scenes.

The movie is likely to hit the cinema screens on January 12, 2017. Chirantan Bhatt is composing the music for this highly awaited movie. Interestingly, the film will depict the life history of 2nd century CE, Satavahana ruler Gautamiputra Satakarni. Saibabu Jagarlamudi and Y. Rajeev Reddy are funding the project under First Frame Entertainments banner.
