Gopala Gopala lands in trouble; faces protests from VHP and BGUS

Pawan Kalyan starrer Gopala Gopala is facing controversy even before its release. Currently,

the film is in its final stages of production and has yet not acquired the censor certification. In fact, the film has

irked the members of VHP, even before it could complete its shooting.

A few members from VHP protested against the film saying that the film hurts the religious sentiments of Hindus.

The activists protested outside the Censor Board office in Masab Tank, Hyderabad and also instructed Board

officials not to issue the certificate for the film until all objectionable scenes are deleted.

Besides VHP, the film also faced trouble from BGUS. BGUS, the organizer of Ganesh Chaturthi festivities in

Hyderabad is dissatisfied with the content of the recently released teaser. "In the film (teaser) we found Lord

Krishna and other Hindu Gods have been shown in un-parliamentary way. If this kind of things occur in society,

every Hindu feeling will be hurt and it leads to disturbance in society. So, I request you to take sincere action

towards this film and make sure such things do not form part of the upcoming film," BGUS said in the representation.

Also starring Venkatesh Daggubati, the upcoming satirical drama film is directed by Kishore Pardasani and

produced jointly by Daggubati Suresh Babu and Sharat Marar.
