Harassment Case Against Comedian Balireddy Prithviraj

The famous Tollywood star, Balireddy Prithviraj, has been booked for harassment. A case of cheating and domestic harassment has been registered against the artist. Reportedly, the Hyderabad police recorded this case after Prithviraj’s alleged wife filed a complaint accusing him of domestic harassment.

The wife, K. Kavitha, mentioned in her complaint with the Banjara Hills police that she met Prithviraj for the first time in 2010 and married him in a temple ceremony after he lured her with luxuries. Post marriage, K. Kavitha and her 2 children from a previous marriage were under the comedian’s care. But, soon after their marriage, Kavitha found out that Prithviraj was having affairs with others.

Deccan Chronicle quotes from the woman's complaint, “When I questioned him about the affair, he said that he would do as he pleased. He also took away Rs. 2 lakh cash and gold ornaments and threatened to kill me and my kids if I complained to anyone.” Following the complaint, the police booked Prithviraj under sections 420 for cheating and 498A for harassment. However, it is reported that Kavitha later sought to withdraw her case.
