Has Disha Patani Bagged Shruti Haasan’s Role In ‘Sanghamithra’?

Ever since Sundar C announced of making ‘Sanghamithra’, the movie has been grabbing eye balls. According to reports, the movie is the costliest till date. Actress Shruti Haasan was roped in to play the warrior princess Sanghamithra. Every now and then there was news about the actress’ rigorous training that she had been undergoing for her role.

However, Shruti’s sudden exit from the film shocked everyone. After her sudden exit, the makers were on a hunt for the film’s female lead. But, now it seems that they finally zeroed in on Disha Patani .

“The makers have been in talks with her for a while now. She has shown interest in the film since it will see her play the title role, alongside giving her a chance to unleash a new side of her talent with the action sequences and the elaborate period episodes. Disha is quite keen to be a part of the film,’ revealed a close source. An official announcement regarding the same will be made out once official announcement.

The film will be made in Telugu and Tamil and will have Arya and Jayam Ravi in lead roles. AR Rahman will be scoring tunes.
