Yes, you heard it right! Filmmaker Deva Katta is all set to enter Bollywood with the remake of his 2010 terrific hit political drama movie, ‘Prasthanam’. The ‘ Hero ’ actor, Sooraj Pancholi has been roped in to recreate Tollywood star Sharwanand’s role. According to the makers, the film shooting will begin from May 25 in Lucknow.

“Unlike ‘Prasthanam’, which had a Vijayawada backdrop, its Hindi remake is set in Uttar Pradesh. While Sanjay Dutt will be reprising the role of Sai Kumar, Sooraj Pancholi has been roped in to play Sharwanand’s character and Satyajit Dubey will play Sudeep Kishen’s role,” a source from the unit told the Times of India. Further, keeping in mind the taste of the Hindi audience, the makers have made a couple of changes in the script.

As per the reports, the female lead actor and rest of the cast for the remake will be finalised soon. Moreover, the runtime of the film has been shortened to 2 hours and 10 minutes. Notably, the makers have planned to stick with the Telugu title for the movie.
