I Want To Do Younger And Vibrant Roles: Lavanya Tripathi

Indian model and actress Lavanya Tripathi has always taken excessive care when singling out her roles. The charming beauty played Nandana, a benevolent kuchipudi dancer, in Bhale Bhale Magadivoy and Seetha, a saree-clad wife of a 56-year-old man, in Soggade Chinni Nayana. The star has always had inclination to pick exceptional characters.

Expressing about playing a part with Akkineni Nagarjuna, the Doosukeltha actress stated, “In fact, when I signed Soggade..., a lot of people told me once I act with a senior star like Nag sir, I'd be tagged as an elderly actress. They said I was taking a big risk and that I would lose out on films with young stars. But I felt all that was utter nonsense; and the fact that I bagged Bhale Bhale Magadivoi just a month later proved I was not wrong”.

But now, Lavanya seems to be tired of playing the usual characters. The adorable actress further added, “Well, I am just on my way! Earlier, people used to recognise me as Midhuna from my debut film, Andala Rakshasi. But now, Nandana and Sita have become my monikers. Frankly, I am quite bored of the salwar-suit look now. I want to do younger and vibrant roles. While I am getting a lot of characters of substance, I haven't had the chance to play me yet! I am an uber cool, fun person. I think the audience will really connect with that side of me”.

The Dehradun girl is rumoured to be approached for a role in Srinu Vaitla’s next with Varun Tej.
