It’s A Century For Y Kasi Viswanath

Mostly known for playing the role of a father, Y. Kasi Viswanath is soon to complete 100 films as an actor. His forthcoming movie will mark his century as an actor. No matter he started his career as a director, but now he is much more renowned for his acting abilities.

He debuted as a director in 2002 with ‘Nuvvu Leka Nenu Lenu’. After that, he helmed ‘Toli Choopulone’ in 2003. However, after these two films, Kasi did not direct any film and finally, made an on-screen appearance in ‘Nachavule’, in which he played the lead actor’s father.

In most of the films, Viswanath has acted as father to the lead actress. “I have played father to all the leading actresses of the present time,” he says. However, Y. Kasi Viswanath wants to come back to direction, but actor Balakrishna has advised him to continue as an actor. “He told me that acting is not our choice, but God’s gift. So I decided to continue as an actor,” he says.
