Jr. NTR To Foray Into Television With ‘Bigg Boss’

Recent reports doing the rounds claim that Telugu superstar Jr. NTR will host the Telugu version of popular reality show, ‘Bigg Boss’. It’s a known fact that Bollywood actor Salman Khan hosts the Hindi version of the show. Well, it was the Kick actor only who suggested the Nannaku Prematho actor’s name for the Telugu version of the show.

Both Salman and Jr. NTR share a cordial relationship with each other. The latter has also starred in one of the Sultan actor’s films. In addition, Salman gave a special video byte for a Telugu show when the Temper actor was making an appearance. While the makers of the show had several names in their mind, they singled out Jr. NTR after Salman suggested his friend’s name.

“Television is a powerful medium for entertainment and when I was approached for this show, I was intrigued by the challenge”, stated Jr. NTR, who will be making an appearance on the small screen for the first time. "It will be a game changer”, the actor added.

A source revealed that Jr. NTR has demanded a colossal amount to host the show. “He is taking double the fee which Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi charged for their TV shows”. The source revealed that the makers are spending nearly Rs. 50 crore on the reality show for the first season.

On a related note, the show is expected to begin in mid-July. Celebrities that will be a part of the show haven’t been decided as of now.
