Kamal Haasan proposes to show Viswaroopam on DTH

For the first time in South Indian film industry a mega budget project like super star Kamal Haasan’sViswaroopammay be released on DTH eight hours prior to its release in theatres. According to sources,Viswaroopamwill be charged Rs 1000 on DTH - it will be single viewing and people will not be able to record the flick due to encryption. However, Kamal’s proposal, sent out late last night to the theatre owners, has not been accepted by them and they are protesting the megastar’s decision in this regard. Head of the Theatre Owners Association, Abirami Ramanathan, said that that they are not against Kamal's movie, which is set for release on January 11, but only against its release on DTH.
