Is Karan Johar Behind the Success of Baahubali?

S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali has crossed all the records of the Tollywood film industry and have become the first ever Telugu film to get recognition in the international as well as national market. Dharma Productions claimed the distribution rights for Hindi dubbed version of the film. Is the success of Baahubali linked with Karan Johar’s presence on the board?

 It is being said that the business as well as the popularity of the film holds some credit to Karan Johar, considering his links and fame in Hindi film industry. The Hindi film director-producer is considered to be one of the reasons why many Bollywood celebrities raved the film.  Further, many people have credited Karan Johar’s wide promotional skills for Baahubali’s great success.

The film was praised by many Bollywood celebs, including Amitabh Bachchan, who expressed his wish to be a part of the project. Other Bollywood stars such as Sidharth Malhotra, Karan Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, Ram Gopal Varma, ‏ Raveena Tandon, Sushmita Sen and Tanishaa Mukerji also admired the film. In fact, the CM of Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naidu also complimented the makers for the success of the film.
