    Lakshmi Manchu wraps up dubbing for Hollywood project, Basmati Blues

    Lakshmi Manchu, who is an established entity in Indian (Southern) film industry, has moved a step forward in her career grabbing a ticket to Hollywood once again. This is the second time Lakshmi is working in a Hollywood project, titled Basmati Blues, and she has just completed dubbing for the film.

    The actress happily said, "Work is pleasure.” Touted to be an entertaining rom-com, Basmati Blues stars Hollywood personalities like Brie Larson, Donald Sutherland and Scott Bakula. Lakshmi will be seen as an Indian lady named Sita in the film. She also gave dancing lessons to her co-star Bakula teaching him free style Indian dancing. The actress revealed, "You know, I even danced for a Bollywood number with Scott Bakula in this film. That was so much fun.”

    The actress had a great time filming Basmati Blues with the American crew as she said, "It feels great to be working with an American crew after a long time. I love the enthusiasm that they have about making a film. It's not just a mere job for them. We shot for this film in Mumbai, Kerala and the US, and I'm looking forward to the film's release later this year.” The television host-turned-actress added further, "We shot the film in some breathtaking locales in the interiors of Kerala and I didn't even know such places existed." Apart from this English project, Lakshmi is also looking towards her upcoming Telugu project, Chandamama Kathalu, which is featuring her as an ex-model.
