MA Nishad files complaint against Padmapriya for non-cooperation

Malayalam filmmaker MA Nishad has lodged a complaint against actress Padmapriya accusing the star of non-cooperation during the shoot of his latest film No 66 Madhura Bus. In his complaint, registered with the Kerala Producers Council, Nishad said Padmapriya earlier agreed to accept a remuneration of Rs 8,00,000 but later insisted that she should be paid an extra sum of Rs 2,00,000. The director said he even agreed to pay the extra amount after deducting the tax but she insisted on getting the sum in its entirety. He also alleged that the actress never turned up for shooting on time and the delay caused the production costs to escalate. She also did not participate in any promotional activities which resulted in the failure of the film at the box office.
