Makers Of Mahanati Ropes In Hollywood Lensman For The Biopic

After a gap of almost two years, Nag Ashwin donned the director’s hat once again for a biopic of a legendary South actress Savitiri. His debut directorial, Yevade Subramanyam, gave him the much needed recognition. The flick started rolling in May and is going at a brisk pace.

If reports are to be believed, producer Swapna Dutt has taken on board Hollywood cameraman Dani Sanchez Lopez for the flick. She wants everything to be perfect. As per the bankroller, “Dani Sanchez Lopez, a recognised visual artist who works in the photography and video art realm, made a name in directing international ads, musical videos, documentaries and art forms. He is mixing formats for the period film that crosses several decades”.

The flick was announced a year ago and was in pre-production stage before rolling in May. Actress Keerthy Suresh will be seen playing yesteryear actress Savitri in the flick, on the other hand, Samantha will portray the role of a journalist. Actor Vijay Devarakonda will be seen opposite Samantha. Dulquer Salmaan will portray the role of Shivaji Ganeshan.
