Mani Ratnam’s Kadal marks the debut of Gautham Karthik

Mani Ratnam’s most awaited movieKadal(The Sea) starring debutant Gautham Karthik has already created buzz down south. The thirty-second trailer shows Gautham on a catamaran in deep sea facing the high tides, whereas another songElay Keecha plays in the backdrop.

The music composed by maestro AR Rahman has become an instant hit too by releasing the songNenjukulleon radio stations. Talking about Gautham, he’s the eldest son of Tamil actors Karthik and Ragini, who were a romantic pair during the 80s. It also marks the debut of Thulasi Nair, sister of actress Karthika Nair and daughter of actress Radha.

The movie has extensively been shot in the south-eastern coast of Tamil Nadu, Andaman Islands and in different parts of Kerala. It will also be dubbed in Telugu and released asKadali.
