Manjima Mohan Talks About Her Tollywood Debut

Manjima Mohan, prominently known for her work in Malayalam and Tamil films, is making a debut in Tollywood. She was roped in to play the lead character in ‘Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo’. The romantic thriller features Naga Chaitanya as the male lead.

Manjima talks about her maiden Telugu flick. “Director Gautham Menon saw my Malayalam film promotions and chose me for this film. I got to know that it would be a bilingual film only after signing the film. Initially, I was not interested in acting in it because I could neither understand nor speak Telugu. But, Gautham encouraged me to do it,” says the 23-year-old actress.

‘Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo’ is a bilingual project. The shoot happened first in Telugu, and then in Tamil. “I used to write the lines and an assistant director translated them for me,” says Manjima. She is inclined towards doing more Telugu flick. She says, “I want to do typical commercial films, but I am against exposing. I only want to look glamorous.” Manjima’s Tollywood debut flick is releasing on November 11.
