Massive robbery at Puri Jagannadh’s house

In a fresh case, filmmaker Puri Jagannadh registered a complaint at the Jubilee Hills police station after gold jewellery worth Rs 15 lakh was stolen from his residence. Jagannadh says that the burglars got into the bedroom, broke open the cupboards and collected the ornaments. The director was apparently in Khammam, busy with his upcoming Tollywood flick Jyothi Lakshmi. His wife Lavanya was also not at home when the incident took place.

A few days back, Puri's daughter had taken the jewellery for a cultural programme at her school. As the servants were aware of this, their involvement in the theft cannot be ruled out. However, "Investigation is going on in full swing," as per cops. Meanwhile, LED lights worth nearly Rs.1 crore were also stolen from Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad.
