Mohan Babu, Lakshmi Manchu clear the air about joining politics

The tinsel town has been abuzz with the rumours that Telugu cinema’s father-daughter duo, Mohan Babu and Lakshmi Manchu are joining politics. But the Manchu family has put a stop to all the rumours by clearing the air that there is no truth in the same.

The actress has been frankly displaying her support towards the BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi while her father Mohan Babu has never uttered a word in the public about his preference of any political party. The actress tweeted, "I feel humbled that my wonderful fans and the media think I can be a good leader. With all due respect, I am NOT contesting 4 this election.” She also added, "I am and will continue to support the one and only @narendramodi. My family was the 1st in the film fraternity to have personally met w him.” Mohan Babu too took to his micro-blogging page to brush off the rumours, "Hearing some absurd news coming in TV channels that I am getting ready to take a plunge into Politics. As of now It's humbug!” He concluded his tweet saying, "Unlike others I don't change my colours."
