Mohanlal to be Kerala CCL team’s captain

If reports are to be believed then megastar Mohanlal will head the Mollywood actors’ team in the next season of Celebrity Cricket League (CCL). While Indrajith is to play as the vice-captain of the team, Amma-Kerala Strikers, Bhavana and Mamtha Mohandas would be the team ambassadors.

Other members of the team are Arjun, Arun Benny, Madan Mohan, Santhosh Sleeba, Suresh, Rajeev Pillai, Nivin Poli, Vivek Gopan, Saiju Kurup, and Vinu Mohan. The third edition of CCL will be inaugurated at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kochi on February 9, 2013.

The CCL is emerging as a platform for many exciting inter-industry cinema partnerships in the country and actor Sudeep thinks that the league has provided a unique platform to help bridge the gap between the different film industries. "One thing that has plagued the Indian film fraternity for long is the lack of communication. While everybody knows about Hindi films, very few vernacular films actually get to the other side. There has never been a single platform where we could all come together. In CCL, we have actors, directors, producers and technicians from different film industries interacting with each for a whole month," theEegaactor said.
