Musicologist 'Hasam' Raja Awarded Honarary Doctorate

Widely recognizable musicologist, popularly known as 'Hasam' Raja has been awarded with honorary doctorate. The Academy of Universal Global Peace, in Bengaluru gave the title, which is internationally recognized around 77 nations. The doctorate was conferred over his dedicated and long services in the area of critiquing the Telugu music of all genes.

"I began the research on Telugu film songs with the intention of making available to all the information related to them. In this endeavour, I have been adding all the information on my site, rajamusicbank.com. Till date, I have collected information related to some 40,000 songs.   

Hasam had such a command over music that he pointed out the roots of a song, no matter if it is non-Telugu language. He added that his entire life is dedicated to Telugu film songs. Maestro even proposed that the government should set up a committee to institute a corporation for the purpose of the Telugu film song.
