Veteran filmmaker N. Shankar is all set for his next project. It is reported that he will direct as well as produce a remake. Interestingly, Malayalam blockbuster flick ‘Two Countries’ will be reprised in Telugu.

About this project, a source reveals that N. Shankar is presently modifying the script to suit regional intricacies. He is willing to engage versatile actor Sunil in this project. It is also reported that Sunil liked the concept of the film. A source said, “Sunil loved ‘Two Countries’ and felt it would add to his resume moving forward. He is excited about the remake but the changes should convince him.”

Bandla Ganesh had the remake rights, but his plans of taking it on to floors with Venkatesh and Ram now seem uncertain. Another source confirms, “After Bandla Ganesh’s plans failed to yield desired results, Boppana and his team camped in Kerala for three days to snatch the rights for Rs 43 lakh but as Shankar met Renjith’s demand of Rs 46 lakh, he was given the go-ahead. Shankar later took the required NOC from Bandla Ganesh.”

Desimartini wishes N. Shankar all the best for the remake of this Mollywood flick that released on December 25, 2015.
