Naga Chaitanya on Manam: “I play a happy-go-lucky college guy in the present era”

Manam that features Naga Chaitanya Akkineni, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Akkineni Nageswara Rao in lead roles reportedly has the Ye Maya Chesave actor essaying the character of a college boy. The actor, who was not ready to reveal much later spoke, "The film as you all would know by now, is spread across three generations, and all the characters go back and forth in time. I play a happy-go-lucky college guy in the present era. It's a typically fun character and has nothing in common with my character from the flashback. So acting-wise, it was a big challenge."

The movie written and directed by Vikram Kumar has been produced by the Akkineni family. Other actors featuring in key roles are Shriya Saran, Lavanya Tripathi and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The chemistry between Samantha and Naga Chaitanya will be worth a watch and the latter sees this as, "We've acted a couple of times together so we share a great rapport and I guess that translates onto the screen. The climax episode between us has come out really well, it will resonate with the audiences." Manam releasing on May 23 has music by Anoop Rubens.
