Nagarjuna Starrer ‘Oopiri’ Creates New Record

Vamsi Paidipally’s directorial venture ‘Oopiri’ was a bilingual comedy-drama film. It featured Akkineni Nagarjuna, Karthi and Tamannaah in the lead roles. ‘Oopiri’ was the remake of Olivier Nakache & Éric Toledano’s French comedy-drama ‘The Intouchables’.

Reportedly, during the worldwide TV Premiere of ‘Oopiri’, the movie made some new records. No other flick in the entire Telugu industry has earned as much of TRP ratings as this movie received. ‘Oopiri’ got 11.17 TRP ratings. This flick released on March 25. Recently, Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ did a good show biz on small screen and now, King Nagarjuna’s ‘Oopiri’ made history.

Nagarjuna essayed the role of a wheel chair bound entrepreneur, but director Vamsi Paidipally ensured that he has good romance portions too. Thus, Nagarjuna romanced three heroines in this flick. The movie completed its good run on the box-office and had a record-breaking television premier. Seemingly, the movie will be aired frequently in near future.
